Paris in the Winter Tastes so Sweet

Paris in the winter is so magical—less crowds, warm flavors, and a festive energy. The thing about visiting France is I will always crave their fresh croissants that typically cost two euro. Here’s some bites and views from my trip in December:

Pastries from La Flûte De Meaux. This bakery was right across the street from my rental loft, and everything I tried was incredible.

We landed in Pairs around 6pm, took a taxi to our rental to drop off our stuff, and then hopped on the metro to check out the Eiffel Tower all lit up at night. It was a fun evening wandering around the bustling city with friends.

Soft and fluffy baked goods from Pompette Boulangerie. Another favorite spot I visited for breakfast and baguettes.

Spent some time wandering around a merry Montmartre and got a takeaway chocolate crepe from one of the restaurants. I loved all the decorations in this neighborhood.

These macarons from Maison George Larnicol were great. They had sooo many flavors to pick from, and my favorite was the pistachio one.

The croissants from La Maison d’Isabelle were named The Best Croissants of Paris for multiple years, and I agree. Although I’ve never had a bad croissant in Paris, these ones were especially buttery and flaky. After buying some pastries, we made sure to check out Notre Dame, which is just a seven minute walk away.

Right next door to the best croissants is a delicious cheese shop, Fromagerie Laurent Dubois Maubert. They have some unique and expensive cheese you can sample, and of course I had to buy a small block of one of the more budget-friendly cheeses.

One thing I love about Paris is that the streets are lined with fresh fruit and flowers. I always love the pop of color against the cityscape. Truly cannot wait until I’m back in this city again. I always love trying all the fresh bread and fruits.
