  • Longman and Eagle: One of Logan Sqaure’s Best Restaurants

Longman and Eagle is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. Everything they make is an explosion of unique flavors, and sitting on their patio in the summer is a vibe. Here’s a few dishes I’ve tried over the past years from their rotating menu:

Their potato gnocchi is the perfect autumn meal. This dish includes roasted pumpkin, brown sugar, amaretti cookie crumb, Umbrian truffle, parmigiano, balsamico, and sage. Truly so many delicious fall flavors for this enticing gnocchi.

  • KAMA: A Vegetarian’s Heaven in Wicker Park

KAMA definitely lives up to the hype. I’ve gone twice now, and everything is always incredible. This has to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Chicago. Here’s a rundown of everything I’ve tried:

My three favorite appetizers are the Ghee Roasted Cauliflower, Beet and Goat Cheese Salad, and Crispy Chili Potatoes. The flavorful cauliflower includes cumin tempered goat cheese, mint chimichurri, cherry tomatoes, and spiced walnuts. All of these foods mixed together is a creamy dream of spices. The salad features pickled beets, cumin-tempered goat cheese, candied pecans, Frisée mixed greens, and blueberry lemon. This fresh salad tastes great especially when paired with a mango lassi. The crispy chili potatoes are delicious as well, and just how I like them–crispy and spicy on the outside and soft on the inside.

  • Eating My Way Through New Orleans

I ate tooo good during my recent trip to New Orleans. When I visited when I was younger it could be difficult to find vegetarian food, but now there’s so many options everywhere! Here’s what I ate:

Beignets and the veggie sandwich from Cafe Beignet. I love their Bourbon St. location in the Musical Legends Park.

Some drinks and sushi while attending French Quarter Fest in Jackson Square with my friends.

  • Late Nights in Lakeview: Where to Stop for Vegetarian Cravings

One of the best parts about living in a city is getting delicious food when the midnight hunger strikes, and Chicago has some great plant-based options to try. Here are a few of my favorites after a night out in Lakeview.

You can’t beat a late night Golden Apple trip, and y’all know I love a classic diner that always serves breakfast. I tend to order their chocolate hip waffles or pancakes, and the hash browns were the perfect savory side. There’s not many plant-based lunch or dinner options, so I usually go here when I’m craving breakfast food. So thankful for this 24-hour diner in Lakeview.

  • Five Lakeview Breakfast Spots with Plant-Based Options

I’ve lived in Lakeview, Chicago for a few years now, and I’ve found some incredible breakfast restaurants and coffee shops in the area. There’s so many delicious vegetarian options in the neighborhood, but here’s a few of my favorites.

Sam and George’s have 29 skillets to choose from on their menu, and The Spartan with sautéed tomatoes, onions, green peppers feta cheese on top of hash browns is my go to. If I want something sweet, I order their yummy chocolate chip pancakes as well. This family-run restaurant is one of my favorites in west Lakeview, and I always leave feeling full and happy.

  • Autumn Eats in Southwest Michigan

I grew up in St. Joseph, and I was lucky to be surrounded by so many delicious restaurants. I love visiting so I can indulge in my favorite spots from my childhood. Autumn is the best season to visit Michigan, and I just spent a weekend in the area soaking up the crisp autumn air and fall fresh flavors.

One of my favorite restaurants in Benton Harbor is the Mason Jar Cafe, and their pumpkin pancakes autumn special is the perfect filling breakfast on a chilly morning. I love how these pancakes taste with their savory breakfast potatoes. I don’t drink coffee, but I do love their chai latte.
