Chicago’s Roscoe Village is always a great neighborhood for walks, shopping, bars, and especially restaurants. Here’s three spots with delicious plant-based options that are a must when spending time in Roscoe neighborhood:

Turquoise Restaurant and Cafe is a lovely lil Turkish-Mediterranean spot right in the middle of Roscoe Village. I tried their Turkish Delight–which is a creamy plate of hummus topped with a perfect mix of roasted veggies–along with their cheese platter and some red wine. Their collection of cheese is unique and delicious and the Turkish delight was nothing short of delightful. And of course we had to end the night with some dessert. This is truly such a cozy spot right in a cute part of town.

The burrito vegetariano from Cafe El Tapatio is the best! It’s filled with beans, tomato, guacamole, lettuce, queso chihuahua, and crema.

For dessert I had to go next door for the Oreo-covered Aunt Rose churro from Churro Parlor. Always such a yummy combo for a night in Roscoe Village.

Bitter Pops in Roscoe Village is such a cute spot to hang out and have some delicious plant-based snacks. I tried their Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese, the Michigan salad, and their impossible smash burger. The fresh and crunchy salad had apples, candied pecans, shallots, goat Gouda, and apple vinaigrette, and the smash burger was huge and tasty. These classic American dishes are bursting with autumn flavors, and are a must try if you’re wandering around this part of town.
