Three Great Breakfast Spots in Joshua Tree

If you’re heading into Joshua Tree today to explore, it’s very important you eat a delicious breakfast that fuels you for the day. There’s so many restaurants in town, but here’s a few of my favorites that you’re bound to love:

Crossroads Cafe is a western diner that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I went for breakfast and ordered the Hi-Ho Combo, which comes with the options of pancakes or French toast, two eggs any style, and a side of: home fries, fruit, veggie sausage, bacon, sausage, ham, or andouille. I decided I needed both veggie sausage and home fries, and I definitely did.

I finally got to try biscuits and gravy thanks to JT Country Kitchen‘s plant-based gravy! It tasted delicious especially after a long wait. I also ate some plant based sausage, eggs, and hash browns. It was the perfect breakfast before a hike in the desert.

Cactus Trail Cafe is another classic breakfast diner in Joshua Tree. While dining here, I went with my usual order: chocolate chip pancakes, over easy eggs, and hash browns. The portion sizing here is great, so I was even able to take some with as leftovers.

It’s great to go to Pappy and Harriet’s for breakfast because there usually isn’t a wait, and they have some yummy veg options. I ordered their breakfast burrito with a biscuit. I always love visiting this restaurant and walking around Pioneertown. If you’re lucky, the goats will be out across the street!
