I spent Earth Day weekend in Marquette where I was constantly surround by amazing food, fun people, and fresh Lake Superior air. Here’s a few things I did and ate while wandering around this upper peninsula, college town.

We toured the production facility of Blackrocks Brewery where I tried their acclaimed American wheat ale, Honey Lav, before it was released for the season.

I visited Babycakes Muffin Co. twice because their pastries and drinks were incredible. A few of my favorites being their chocolate chip muffin, Samoa macaroon, and Earth Day matcha.

For dinner at The Delft Bistro, I tried the loaded Brussels sprouts, cheese curds, and vegan carbonara. All three were delicious, but I’m still thinking about those cheese curds.

And lastly, I enjoyed a yummy penne pasta and salad dinner made by friends in the Onion Tower Airbnb. Staying in this spot with a bunch of people was the icing on the cake of a great weekend in UP.

Hiking along black rocks, waterfalls, and Sugarloaf Mountain was much needed after being in the city for so long. This trip was a breath of fresh air.
