LIL VEGGIE EATS

Your Guide to Vegetarian Eats

Vegetarian Food in The Big Easy

I’ve visited New Orleans a few times now, and each time I visit there are more and more vegetarian options.

There’s never a bad time for a beignet, and that’s why I always try to stop by Cafe Du Monde every time I visit. I loved the energy of pure joy found under the striped green and white awning while enjoying fluffy pastries drenched in powdered sugar. If you’re someone who likes coffee, ordering your beignets with a cup of Joe is a pairing you can’t miss.

I finally got to try a po’ boy thanks to Kindred. The cauliflower in this was amazing, and the bread tasted so fresh. This cute, vegan restaurant had such a yummy menu. I can’t wait to go back and try more.

Eating dinner in The Commander’s Palace’s gorgeous garden room is a must if you’re visiting New Orleans! The summer squash burrata was so good that I ate the entire thing in five minutes. The crème brûlée was so rich and the creole bread pudding soufflé felt so warm and comfy. There’s nothing like enjoying a unique dinner in New Orleans.

Sucré is the cutest lil bakery on Royal Street, and I’m always in the mood for warm croissant and an iced matcha on a hot day. I loved their matcha, and the croissant was ginormous. It was a perfect start to a day of wandering around the French Quarter.
